Bahrain Bus

Bahrain Bus is a result of a private-public partnership between the government of Bahrain and British coach operator National Express, and began operating in 2014. In comparison to previous public bus services in Bahrain, the new Bahrain Bus is a HUGE improvement. With brand new air-conditioned buses and improved branding, Bahrain Bus is a major step forward in improving mobility in Bahrain. The next step should be further encouraging more people to use buses. This could be achieved by introducing air-conditioned stations in every bus stop to protect people from warm months where temperatures can reach over 45C+ (115F+) degrees and unbearable humidity. In addition, 'bus only' lanes could further improve operations by providing buses their own lanes away from regular traffic. Overall, I was really impressed with Bahrain Bus, and I believe that future improvements will drastically decrease problematic traffic congestion caused by private cars.
