Task: AlFateh/Juffair Waterfront Improvement
The AlFateh/Juffair corniche is an area where people living near and far come to walk, jog, and bike along a narrow path. Although the path is protected by a barrier separating it from the busy road, the area is mostly undeveloped and empty with the bike and pedestrian path a significant distance away from the waterfront.
Maryam AlNoaimi was tasked to propose an intervention that would make the AlFateh/Juffair corniche more people friendly and improve the area’s aesthetic.
Intervention:
Maryam AlNoaimi’s intervention to achieve her task involved by including spaces of vegetation and public facilities such as a children’s play area, an art gallery, bikes lanes, and wide pedestrian paths.
